SYNERGY COMMERCIAL ADVISORS SUPPORTS BAND TOGETHER, ALLIANCE MEDICAL MINISTRY

MORRISVILLE, N.C. – (April 26, 2011) – Synergy Commercial Advisors is pleased to be able to contribute $2,500 to Band Together NC, a 501c3 non-profit organization that raises funds for numerous Triangle charitable organizations.  This year Band Together will partner with Alliance Medical Ministry and the concert will feature Third Eye Blind, Dillon Fence, Lonnie Walker, and US Royalty on Saturday, May 7th.  “We are very excited to support Band Together’s 2011 benefit supporting Alliance Medical Ministry.  Band Together and Alliance Medical Ministry are great organizations that enrich the communities in which we live and the concert has served as a great company event that our employees really enjoy.” Synergy’s Managing Director, Rich Harris, has been a board member since 2008 and has raised funds for Band Together’s chosen charities since 2006.

Band Together NC focuses on raising money and awareness for select charities through events that showcase and support musical talent.  Established in 2001, the Group has raised approximately $1,000,000 to 11 organizations including SAFEchild, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle, Wake County Boys and Girls Clubs, Special Olympics North Carolina, Operation Smile, Music Maker Relief Foundation, Stop Hunger Now for Tsunami Relief, and the Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina for local and Gulf Coast Katrina Relief.  “Band Together consists of an impressive group of local individuals that do a tremendous job raising money every year for a selected charity,” remarks Rich Harris.  “The mantra is ‘raise funds, raise awareness, raise the bar’ and Band Together has done that.  Synergy Commercial Advisors is happy to assist them with those efforts.”

Alliance Medical Ministry (AMM) is a faith-led medical ministry serving the working uninsured in need of affordable health care.  AMM opened in January 2003, offering a primary care home to patients by operating on a private practice model.  The clinic is open from 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM daily, from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM on select Saturdays, and provides 24-hour coordination of a patient's medical needs. Comprehensive, on-site services include chronic and acute medical care, health education, laboratory testing, on-site pharmacy and referrals for specialty care and all services are completely bilingual. Approximately 98% of AMM patients have an income below 200% of federal poverty guidelines and pay $15 per primary care visit or $25 per acute care visit, with the remaining paying on a sliding scale. Though the patient fees offset the cost of care, charging patients also encourages them to be engaged in improving their health.
